⌠TRADITION √ 2008■: exhibition of militaria antique and Russian Numismatic Forum.
Russian exhibition company "GOLDEN DOLPHIN" organizes an exhibition project "TRADITION - 2008", which purpose is revival of collecting of military historical things in Russia, coverage of expositions of Russian and foreign state and private collections of historical things, collectibles on military subject, and also unionization of collectors of military and economic historical things, creation of an area for their communication.
The format of our project is developed specially for collectors, historians and all those who are interested in military history. At the exhibition will be also presented an uncommercial exposition on the set subject of museums of Russian Federation, antiquarian interiors, private galleries and private collections. Within the framework of the project, there will be hold seminars and round tables on topical subjects.
Russian collectors have always been interested in military and numismatic historical collectibles. Numismatics and military attributes, as we know, are two favorite "man's topics", however, these two directions are very seldom full-scale presented at Russian antiquarian interiors.
There are not any strict restrictions on historical period or geographical origin of things, so owners of collectibles of the most different countries and epoch will be able to take part in the exhibition. Certainly, this will affect positively a palette of an exposition.
Within the framework of an exhibition of militaria antique "TRADITION - 2008", there will take place the First scientific historical readings "Militaria Antique": round table "Traditions of private collecting of antiquarian weapon in Russia" (conference hall); scientific program of Military-historical museum of artillery, engineer and signal corps (SPb) and the State Research Institute for Restoration (conference hall, stands); round table "Traditions of a private collecting of militaria antique in Russia" (conference hall, stand of the State Research Institute for Restoration).
The purpose of the First scientific historical readings "Militaria Antique" is discussion of topical problems of international and Russian applicable law on protection of cultural values, scientific discussions (within the framework of seminars and round tables) on topics: military equipment, military outfit, honors and heraldry, antiquarian weapon, and also coverage of history of creation and work of the Imperial Russian Military Historical Society and prospects of its revival today.
With assistance of the Federal Service for Supervision of Legislation Compliance in the Sphere of Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, within the framework of the scientific program of the exhibition, for the first time will take place a workshop seminar of certificated experts of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Mass Communications, Telecommunications and Protection of Cultural Heritage in the sphere of militaria antique.
The State Research Institute for Restoration took the lead in holding of a round table for restorers on metal on the topic "The International Charter for the Conservation and Restoration of Monuments and Sites - 1965 and its realization in the work of modern restorers on metal". Special interest causes holding of scientific discussion on the topic: "Antiquarian cold steel arms - restoration or repair", organized by the employees of department on research and restoration of metal of the State Research Institute for Restoration and by private collectors of the antiquarian weapon.
The members of organizing committee of the scientific program of an exhibition are: representatives of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Mass Communications, Telecommunications and Protection of Cultural Heritage; of the State Historical-cultural Museum-preserve "The Moscow Kremlin"; of the State historical museum of Moscow; of the State Hermitage museum, of the Military-historical museum of artillery, engineer and signal corps (SPb); of the State Museum "Tzarskoe Selo"; of the State Research Institute for Restoration; antiquarian interiors and private galleries of Moscow and St.-Petersburg, and also private collectors of military antiques.
During 4 days, from October, 16 till October, 19 "TRADITION - 2008" will be accompanied by a highly topical scientific and business program: discussion of topical problems of international and Russian applicable law on protection of cultural values, scientific discussions on subject of military equipment, military outfit, honors and heraldry, antiquarian weapon, and also coverage of history of creation and work of the Imperial Russian Military Historical Society and prospects of its revival today.
On 18-th of October will take place an antiquarian auction ⌠MILITARIA■, where will be tendered books, engravings, lithographs, documents devoted to a military subject (equipment, ammunition, military actions, honors, symbolic, history, etc.)
Besides on Saturday there will be hold the Second All-Russia bonist conference. Topic: "Questions of theory and practice of history of paper currency". Organizer - "The Union of Bonists - Center of studying of memorials of history of currency".
